Balancing university study and assignments, looking for jobs and The Bibi Edit isn’t always easy. Over time, I’ve discovered a few habits that help me stay creative, focused, and, most importantly, sane. Here are five that make a real difference:
I dedicate the first 20–30 minutes of my morning to something inspiring— listening to gospel music, reading, or simply sipping tea in quiet. It sets the tone for a focused, creative day.

I block out time for work, study, and blogging like I would any appointment. It might seem rigid, but having a plan frees my mind to actually be creative within those slots.

Not every moment has to be long to be productive. Writing a short blog paragraph on the bus or brainstorming ideas during a tea break keeps momentum without adding stress.

Ideas for posts, stories, or projects can pop up anywhere. I jot them down immediately—on the notes app on my phone or in a notebook so I never lose inspiration.
Creativity thrives on rest. Even a short walk, a bit of music, or a few minutes offline can reset my energy and help me return to tasks with fresh eyes.

These habits aren’t perfect or rigid—they evolve with my schedule and energy and came with a lot of trial and error. But they remind me that balance is possible, even when life feels full. Paired with mindful digital habits, these practices keep me focused and creative.
Which habits help you stay creative and balanced? I’d love to hear what works for you!
